Dakota Business Lending is pleased to welcome Steve Gehrtz to their Board of Directors. Gehrtz was elected at the board meeting on August 5, 2020 and will attend his first meeting as an official director on September 2, 2020.
Gehrtz currently serves as the President of Gehrtz Construction Services, where he helps develop, design, and completes the construction of commercial projects throughout the region. A member of the American Institute of Constructors and a Certified Professional Constructor, he brings with him over 35 years of leadership and construction management and a passion for developing the community.
In addition, Gehrtz has gained valuable experience and expertise from several boards that he has served on throughout the state, including Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church’s Long Range Planning and Building Committees, the Industry Advisory Council for the Construction Management Department at NDSU, the Moorhead Business Association, and several other boards and committees for the seven years that he has served as an elected Council Member to the Moorhead City Council. In his free time, Gehrtz enjoys spending time with his wife, Elaine, and his three grown children, Jessica (Ben) Sencindiver, Matthew (Kjerstin and Viviene) Gehrtz, and Michael (Bryanna) Gehrtz.
The Dakota Business Lending Board is made up of Directors strategically represented throughout the entire state of North Dakota and western Minnesota, who are committed to small business lending and economic growth in Dakota Business Lending’s entire service area. Other current directors include Chair Jim Hambrick, Vice Tonya Holmstrom, Secretary/Treasurer Rich Becker, Immediate Past Chair Dan Jacobson, as well as Mike Connor, John Phillips, Kim Kautzman, and Jason Hopfauf.
