Dakota Business Lending Promotes Three

Aug 6, 2026

Dakota Business Lending (DBL) is excited to announce the promotion of three members of their team. These exciting changes reflect significant growth and milestones for DBL as the organization continues to expand their services and increase their capacity to better serve entrepreneurs across their footprint of North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Minnesota.

Ann Peterson has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Peterson joined the company in 2021 with over 35 years of economic development and SBA 504 and 7(a) lending experience, 22 of which were spent at another 504 Certified Development Corporation (CDC) like DBL. As COO, she will oversee the overall operations of DBL, focusing on the internal day-to-day operations, implementation and execution of the organization’s long-term goals, and overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Loan Operations teams.

Anjie Martins has been promoted to VP of Loan Operations. Martins joined the DBL team as an Underwriter in 2020 and most recently served as Sr. Credit Manager.

She will be responsible for managing the organization’s overall Loan Operations team, including Processing & Credit, Closing, and Servicing.

Emily Schroeder is now a Sr. Business Development and Commercial Loan Officer. Schroeder has served DBL in a variety of roles since joining the team in 2015, most recently as Community Lending Director.

She is returning to a Business Development/Commercial Loan Officer role to continue to support and grow DBL’s 504 portfolio and foster relationships with business owners, bankers, and lending partners, specifically in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
